Only two concerts will be held this year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of John Denver’s death.

The concert benefiting MTR is one of those.

 

On October 26, 2007 the stage of Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts will be alive with sound, memories and brilliant entertainers during the “John Denver Musical Tribute” concert benefiting Maryland Therapeutic Riding. The artists will include John Denver’s talented former band members, songwriters and friends.

 

Special performers include the gifted writers whose songs helped catapult John Denver into chart-topping success including John Sommers, writer of “Thank God I’m A Country Boy,” Bill Danoff, writer of “Take Me Home Country Road,” and fan favorite Mollie Weaver. Denver’s former guitar player, Pete Huttlinger who has played along with Jim Salestrom and Chris Nole, who recorded with John from 1994 until his tragic death in 1997.

 

An exclusive VIP Reception will be held at 7.00pm at Maryland Hall catered by Pat Ernst and the Great Chefs of Maryland.  Top chefs from the Annapolis area will provide tasting stations.
